I know there is a lot of world war 2 warbirds that would shoot out the smoke from the exhaust, take a look at this video to see what I mean: https://youtu.be/1P1DaPWepYo so I wonder if any civilian propeller plane like cessna 172 would do the same thing although TBM 930 would shoot out invisible air.
The smoke is most likely due to the old engine, any civilian planes from that era would most likely do the same. New planes like the TBM don’t do this as far as i’m aware. Looks at an Antonov start up or takeoff, you see a big trail of ‘black smoke’ (click here)
Then what are those invisible air that TBM shoot out of, look at the photo.
